A Thank You to All Candidates and Participants
We'd like to extend a sincere thank you to all thirteen candidates who put themselves forward. Stepping up to represent the community takes initiative, and every candidate brought a unique perspective to the table. The quality and diversity of nominations is a testament to the strength of the Nimiq community.
What Happens Next
The elected Council members will begin their term immediately. As outlined in the announcement blog post, the Council will operate independently from Team Nimiq and will be responsible for reviewing and deciding on community funding proposals.
Want to follow the Council's discussions? Join the Nimiq Discord server, where you'll have read-only access to the #community-council channel. If you have a project idea and want to apply for funding, head over to the Nimiq Forum to submit your proposal. Before you do, make sure to review the Community Council Proposal Guidelines; proposals that don't follow the guidelines may be rejected.
When Proposal?
This is a meaningful step for Nimiq. For the first time, community-driven funding decisions will be made entirely by elected community members. We're looking forward to seeing the Council in action and the projects it will support.
If you have an idea for a project that could add value to the Nimiq ecosystem, share your proposal now.
Congratulations to the entire Nimiq community and the newly elected members, and thank you to everyone who voted! This is your Council!
Pura Vida,
Team Nimiq
